
Charlotte Gauthier is currently a doctoral researcher in History at Royal Holloway, University of London. In 2019 she completed her MA in Crusader Studies, also at Royal Holloway. Charlotte's research focuses on religious conflict and nationhood, with a particular emphasis on anti-Ottoman diplomacy between England and Central Europe in the late fifteenth and early sixteenth centuries. She also maintains an active research interest in digital humanities and public history, working with heritage organisations to create online and offline public engagement programmes and using data to diversify their audiences. She has just edited the essay collection 900 Years of St Bartholomew the Great: The History, Art, and Architecture of London's Oldest Parish Church, published by Paul Holberton Publishing.
