Humma Mouzam oversees the News page at Medieval and Early Modern Orients (MEMOs). She is a doctoral researcher in medieval and early modern literature at the University of Birmingham. Her AHRC Midlands4Cities funded research investigates the influence of European and Arabic sources upon the development of the Arthurian dragon as a literary-cultural symbol in Arthurian literatures produced between the twelfth and sixteenth centuries. Her research interests include Arthurian motifs, literary-cultural transmission of twelfth-century astronomical/ astrological texts, supernatural monsters, cross-cultural borders, insular and national identities, and crusading and apocalyptic narratives. She holds a BA and MA from the University of Birmingham and tweets @HummaMouzam.
