Sumaiya Ara is a young architect who is currently acquiring skills and experience in the professional field. She completed her degree in Architecture from BRAC University in Bangladesh. She loves exploring built environments that engage people and the community, and therefore pursues philosophies that encompass design as a collective instrument to respond to contemporary needs and their subsequent issues. She is keen on learning technical, structural and spatial aspects of architecture along with how space can impact experiences. She intends to expand her knowledge and insights in built environments that deal with the community and culture.
She is also a graphic design enthusiast, and feels it is a vital communication medium to intrigue and stimulate human psychology. She has practiced and developed her skills in this field in architectural and wider platforms. She loves working with user experience and interface designs and has developed a keen interest in new technologies that bring together the built and visual environment.
