Advertised Job Summary:
The Department of History at the University of South Carolina invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in East or South Asian history, broadly defined by historical period and specialisation, effective August 16, 2022. The teaching load is 2:2 and the successful applicant will be prepared to offer a lower-division survey in either East Asian or South Asian history as well as upper-division classes in the area(s) of their specialisation. Graduate teaching may be possible as well.
Required Education and Experience:
Candidates must have a PhD in History in hand by the time of appointment, with expertise in teaching lower level East Asian or South Asian history, as well as interest in teaching upper-level history courses.
