Medieval European History 

The Department of History at Northwestern University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Medieval European History, to begin on September 1, 2025. The position is open to candidates whose research engages any facet of European society from roughly 800-1500 CE. 

The successful candidate will teach four courses annually over the course of three academic quarters, advise graduate students, and contribute to a vibrant interdisciplinary community of medievalists both in and beyond the History Department. 

Candidates must have completed their Ph.D.s by the September 1, 2025 start date.
