Cottey College - European History Faculty, Tenure-Track

Cottey College, a private liberal arts and sciences college for women, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in European history starting August 2026.

We are looking for a motivated candidate who is interested in teaching a broad range of courses in a student-centered, collaborative environment. The preferred candidate will have earned a Ph.D. in European history with the ability to also teach courses in non-western history, with a preference for the history of Asia or the Middle East; have shown a record of excellence in undergraduate teaching; and have demonstrated evidence of scholarly work in European history.

We seek applicants who are excited to teach European history, including both sections of the world civilizations surveys and upper-division courses in their area of expertise; ability to teach courses in women, gender, and sexuality studies or environmental studies would be an added benefit.

Cottey faculty advise and mentor students, sponsor student organizations, engage in service, and participate in the life of the College.
