Lecturer in Digital Humanities, University of Southampton
The School of Humanities at the University of Southampton are looking for a Lecturer in Digital Humanities to join our team of dedicated researchers and educators.
You will have a PhD or equivalent professional qualification, a developing research profile and teaching agenda in Digital Humanities, Digital Media, Digital Culture, and/or an aligned subject area. While we welcome applications from those working in any aspect of Digital Humanities, we would be particularly interested in candidates whose work engages with critical and creative approaches, especially where that work intersects with the discipline/s of English, Film, Languages, Music, or Philosophy.
You will be supported by recent investment in Digital Humanities expertise, estate, and resources. Notable among these is our Digital Humanities Hub, an infrastructure that provides access to technologies and expertise that enable us to make and explore virtual worlds, compute text, sonify pictures, scan and manipulate heritage objects, immerse ourselves in data visualisations, and much more. This position will be offered on a full-time, permanent basis.
