Lecturer in Early Modern Global History, The University of Manchester

Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Early Modern History (teaching-focused) at the University of Manchester. Candidates with interests in the area of early modern global history c.1450-1750 are encouraged to apply.

You must have a successful record of undergraduate teaching in the field of early modern history (preferably with a focus on globalisation, transnational and world history).

You will contribute to a range of existing undergraduate and postgraduate courses catering to our provision for early modern global and world history. At level 1 you will design and teach a History in Practice seminar. At level 2 you will supervise our Independent Research Project students. At level 3 you will devise and teach a specialist course based on your own area of research expertise. In addition to this you will be contributing to other lectures and seminars on early modern global history across our UG and PGT provision and act as an academic advisor at both levels.
