Lecturer in Postcolonial Literature and Culture, King's College London

The Department of English wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Postcolonial Literature and Culture (Education and Research). This is a full-time, fixed term appointment to cover Professor Ananya Kabir during a period of externally funded leave. The post will run from 1 September 2022 for 12 months. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a record of excellence in teaching and research. Teaching is likely to include the following UG modules – ‘Postcolonial Pirates’ and ‘Transoceanic Indians’ – as well as the MA module ‘Afro-Asian Transcultural Memory’. The postholder will contribute to the pastoral care of students as a personal tutor and will supervise Undergraduate and MA dissertation supervision. They will be responsible to the Head of Department.
