The Department of History and Welsh History invites applications for a full-time Lectureship in the History of the Global South (nineteenth and/or twentieth centuries), tenable from 1 September 2022, or as soon as possible thereafter. We will be particularly interested in applicants who specialise in one or more of: East Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, the Caribbean, or Latin America. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations and to participate in University examining at undergraduate and taught postgraduate level. The successful candidate will also have a strong research record or exhibit evidence of the capacity to develop such a record in a relevant field of the History of the Global South.
