Missouri Southern State University - Assistant Professor of European History (USA)

MSSU is seeking tenure-track assistant professor specializing broadly in European history, beginning in August 2025 (or January 2026). Candidates must have a PhD in History. The successful candidate will teach a wide range of upper-level courses in European history. In addition to this primary specialization, candidates with a secondary specialization in either Asian, Middle Eastern, or Global history will be given preference. History faculty at MSSU teach a 4/4 load and serve History, Social Sciences, and Social Studies Education majors. A willingness to teach survey courses in United States, Western Civilization, and/or Global history is required. The History faculty also contribute actively to the International Studies program at MSSU, offering classes such as Introduction to International Studies, Model United Nations, and Model European Union. A willingness to participate in interdisciplinary global education is vital to this position.
