Part-time Departmental Lecturer, English Faculty, University of Oxford
The English Faculty, University of Oxford is seeking to appoint a part-time Departmental Lecturer to a 21-month fixed-term teaching and research post in English Literature, with a core focus on the period 1660-1800. It is anticipated that the appointee will take up the post on 1 January 2024.
The selected applicant will be expected to deliver up to 18 hours of Faculty lectures, classes, or seminars per year. The Faculty teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate lecturing on eighteenth-century Literature in English, teaching on the MSt in English Literature (1700-1830 strand) and supervision of undergraduate and graduate dissertations on a range of topics in Literature in English 1660-1800 for the English Faculty.
The applicant possess (or be near to completing) a doctorate in the field of English Literature, have experience in undergraduate teaching, and possess excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. You will also have a strong research and publication record in English literature of the eighteenth century.
