The Division of Arts and Humanities at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for a full-time tenured/tenure-track faculty position. We seek a scholar and educator with a research and teaching focus on the history of Africa, with a demonstrated record of teaching and engaging with global frameworks.  

The ideal candidate must have a strong research agenda and be on track for a publication record suitable for tenure at New York University. Commitment to teaching excellence, ability to supervise BA, MA and PhD students, and a record of service to their current and previous institutions are required.

Qualifications:

This position requires a Ph.D. in History, or comparable in African Studies.
