University of East Anglia Archives and Collections Visiting Fellowships 2021-22

26 March 2021

UEA Archives and Collections Visiting Fellowships is a dynamic new initiative, which welcomes applications from academic researchers wishing to travel to Norwich to make use of the University's archives and collections for innovative research.

Our unique and varied holdings consist of museum artefacts, art works, rare books and manuscripts, and archive collections including archives include the East Anglian Film Archive (EAFA), UEA Library Archives, Sainsbury Centre, and Sainsbury Research Unit (SRU).

We encourage applicants from all career stages and from all disciplines within the scope of the archives and collection. Applications from early-career researchers are particularly welcomed.

Attracting a bursary of £2,500 per each 4-week Fellowship (£2,000 living expenses and up to £500 travel expenses), research applications can support traditional and/or practice research directly relating to the University’s collections. Applications for projects that collaborate with researchers at UEA are welcome, as are applications that will lead to future collaborative grant applications with colleagues at UEA. Applications aimed at developing a Visiting Fellow’s ability to make strong applications to externally funded post-doctoral positions to be held at the UEA are encouraged.

Fellowships are to be held between 1 August 2021 and 31 July 2022 and Fellows are expected to be resident in Norwich for the term of their Fellowship.

Application deadline: 31 March 2021
