Visiting Assistant Professor in History, New College of Florida

New College of Florida invites applications for a one-year sabbatical replacement position as Visiting Assistant Professor in History with a focus on Medieval and Early Modern History. The candidate must have completed the Ph.D. by time of appointment in Fall 2023. Candidates will be expected to contribute relevant survey courses in medieval/early modern history while also offering courses in their area of specialization. Search committee members will conduct online interviews in April. 

Teaching and Scholarship Expectations: The teaching load is two courses per semester plus sponsorship of individual and group tutorials. In addition to classes and tutorials, visiting faculty members may supervise independent study projects and serve on baccalaureate committees. The successful candidate is expected to maintain a program of research. We are particularly interested in candidates who have a demonstrated commitment to innovative undergraduate liberal-arts teaching.
